| Warm Springs Katahdins are located in Warm Springs, Georgia. We began with our Registered Katahdins after many years breeding wool sheep. Our Katahdin flock began with the selection of 31 ewes and a Delaloye / Windy Ridge Farm ram. At present our flock size is 110 ewes with plans to reach 200. We maintain 3 unrelated bloodlines. Our flock has been developed with bloodlines from the Case, Dennis, Fortmeyer, and several Canadian flocks. We strive to obtain some of the best stud rams available in the United States and Canada. We rigidly select in order to attain the following traits: 1. Resistance to heat and humidity 2. Resistance to internal parasites. 3. Resistance to foot rot. 4. Completely shedding coats as lambs. 5. Excellent carcass qualities. 6. Superior maternal qualities. 7. Since 2004, we have tested our ram lambs at codon 171 to determine their genotype. 8. Our policy is to only sell rams that are twins or triplets. We may offer outstanding singles if they are from a ewe lambing for the first time, are from multiple births and from a line with a history of multiple births.
